Tikchik Narrows Lodge was started in 1969 by Alaska sportfishing pioneers Bob and Gayle Curtis in the waters of Bristol Bay. At that time, the Curtis’s owned and operated Wood River Lodge and Bob used to fly up to the Tikchik Narrows to take his anglers fishing. Bob always considered the Tikchik Narrows of the Bristol Bay area to be the best fishing around. He would walk up on top of the rock knoll at the tip of the peninsula and dream of building a lodge there, which he did in 1969 when he sold Wood River and devoted his time, money and love to Tikchik Narrows Lodge.

We start from the quaint fishing town of King Salmon and fly into a surreal lake in the crater itself. We spend several days hiking and exploring the crater area. Warm, mineral springs with effervescent bubbles make a relaxing foot spa after days hiking and are located close to where we camp. There is a lot to explore here, and the days are filled hiking around the very walkable surface inside the crater.

The Alagnak Lodge is where the pristine Alagnak River cold water watershed flows into Bristol Bay. Where the fish come to you. Here on the tidal waters of the Alagnak River, we've built a truely unique Alaskan fishing lodge. Enjoy the luxury of experiencing a true wilderness experience while having our staff do all the work for you, leaving you free to enjoy the experience. All salmon returning to their Alagnak River home waters for spawning pass by our lodge. Usually the best fishing is close to the lodge, so you can spend more time with your line in the water rather than traveling to the fish.

Blue Fly is located in King Salmon, Alaska at the heart of the Bristol Bay. The rich waters of the Naknek and surrounding rivers are not only home to the world's largest salmon runs, but also record breaking Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char and Arctic Grayling. It is not uncommon for anglers to hook into rainbows measuring 30 plus inches! But of course, you will have to see for yourself…Blue Fly’s success thrives on the fact that it is a small personalized operation. Each group of fishermen gets undivided attention in focusing and fulfilling your trip. Half the enjoyment of having a passion in life is sharing it with friends and loved ones. At Blue Fly, we don’t merely guide; we take time to give proper instruction to those new to the sport. If you or your significant other have the curiosity, but lack the confidence in going on a fishing adventure, we encourage you to join us.
