Description Intensity: Easy Mileage: 4 miles Elevation gain: 300 ft. Trail Time: ~ 3 hours Time to trailhead from meeting point: ~30 minutes. Features: Two beautiful mountain lakes, sweeping mountain views, wildflowers, wildlife, lush pine and aspen forest, ancient rocks Description: Sprague Lake is one of the most beautiful spots in Rocky Mountain National Park to watch the sunrise. Once we get our sunspiration, we'll make our way to another enchanting mountain lake that has sweeping mountain views. Along the way, we'll venture through a lush forest filled with aspen and pine and ancient rock formations. We'll surely see wildlife along the way and we'll have plenty of solitude so you can truly feel at peace. Start time: This tour has a flexible start time depending on the season. Summer start time: ~4:30 am. This is the time we'll meet at a designated location in Estes Park. Then you'll follow me in your car to the trailhead which is about a 30 minute drive. Fall start time: Later than 4:30 am :) In the 6 am - 7 am range. Exact details will be provided upon booking.

Trail Time: 4-5 hours Features: Multiple waterfalls including the 40 ft. Ouzel Falls, mountain streams, mountain views, wildflowers. Description: This trail is in a remote area of Rocky Mountain National Park and leads to arguably one of the most beautiful falls in the park. If you love water, waterfalls, mountains, views, and forest then this hike is for you. We'll follow along St. Vrain Creek and pass multiple waterfalls on our way up to Ouzel Falls. Once we get to Ouzel Falls, there will be plenty of time for photos, a little exploring around the area, and snacks and drinks before heading back down.

Explore the beauty of RMNP while catching Browns, Rainbows, Greenback Cutthroats and Brook Trout. You might even get a grand slam by catching every species during your trip. Covered in your trip is all the necessary gear including flies! We provide snacks on the half day trips and lunch on the full day trips. All you need is a Colorado fishing license but you should consider polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, rain gear and a fishing hat! Our guides are experienced with all levels of anglers. Whether you are a complete novice or highly experienced, we will provide you with a great experience! There are many fly-by-night guide operations out there, but unlike some others, our guides are properly permitted, CPR certified and fully insured. Colorado's Front Range and the area directly around Boulder offers a wide variety of fish species, excellent angling opportunities, and is best known for incredible and exciting dry fly fishing, making for an action-packed day! From wild Brown Trout in Boulder Creek to gorgeous Cutthroat Trout in the high mountain lakes and streams of Rocky Mountain National Park, our goal is to give you lasting memories of a true rocky mountain fly fishing experience. Our trips are solely walk/wade. At the shop, you will be properly sized and fitted in your equipment to ensure your comfort. Once we have the equipment fitted and all necessary fishing licenses purchased, the guide will provide transportation to the water. Our guides create a comfortable learning environment for you along with years of fly-fishing and guiding experience to get you onto fish. Description Sprague Lake and Glacier Gorge Intensity: Moderate Mileage: 4 miles round trip Elevation gain: ~400 ft. Drive time from meeting point to trailhead: 20 minutes Trail time: 2 hours (+15 minute tutorial on how to use the gear) Description: This tour is perfect if you’re moderately fit and a snowshoeing beginner. We'll start the tour with a 15 minute tutorial where we'll show you how to use the gear and practice moving with it on. YOU MUST WEAR WATERPROOF HIKING BOOTS. The 2 hours of hiking will begin after the tutorial This snowshoeing tour takes us on a trail around Sprague Lake and then through the peaceful, less traveled forest in Glacier Gorge whose rocks were cut by glaciers tens of thousands of years ago. The forest is filled with pristine pine and quaking aspen. It's difficult not to feel a sense of calm and peace in this environment. You can enjoy incredible mountain views from Sprague Lake and the Glacier Gorge trail without the chaos of being on the popular trails. After booking, you'll receive an email with details like meeting place and time, and tips on how to prepare and what to bring.

Thank you for taking an interest in wildlife tours with Chadd’s Walking With Wildlife, the premier wildlife tour company for Rocky Mountain National Park! Chadd’s Walking With Wildlife tours focus on the wildlife. We offer full day and half day tours that start and end in Estes Park. With one of the most knowledgeable guides and naturalists in the U.S., this wildlife tour is like no other in the Rocky Mountain region. It offers more than just wildlife education. We will also discuss geology, climatology, and botany, as well as the history of the area. We will make plenty of stops to photograph wildlife and the beautiful scenic views throughout the tour. No two tours will be the same as there is so much that this park has to offer. During the summer tours, we will spend the morning hours exploring Trail Ridge Road while making our way to the historic town of Grand Lake. We will stop in Grand Lake for you to grab lunch and a walk around town for 1-2 hours, depending on the group's interest. We will spend the afternoon and early evening making our way back over Trail Ridge Road to Estes Park. ​ During the winter tours, Trail Ridge Road is closed due to snow. We will be exploring the Moraine Park area, Fall River Road, and South Navy Hill Road areas. ​ We do our best to cater to our clients.
