Approximately 4 hours. Half days are great if we need to concentrate on a defined period of opportunity such as a tailwater release schedule or a "fringe" season feeding window. And of course, you may just not want to dedicate a full day to fly fishing. Half days are not recommended for backcountry trips. Includes any gear needed. Does not include lunch or fishing license.

Approximately 8 hours. These trips are done seasonally, from 10/15 through 12/31, on mountain streams outside of the park. These stocked streams are catch-and-release, artificial only during this time frame and usually contain some very large rainbows. Due to extended drive time for guide, these trips are only offered as full days. Includes lunch and any gear needed. Does not include fishing license.

Need a guide near Asheville to help you find the elk in Great Smoky Mountains National Park? We're offering just that! We currently have a 100% success rate in finding the elk! For our private Half-Day Elk Viewing Photo Tour, we've put together a trip that takes you about an hour west of Asheville out to Great Smoky Mountain National Park to see the elk herds in the scenic valley near the Tennessee border. Everyone seems to really love this tour. Our Elk Photo Tours are very adventurous and sure to please. This tour focuses less on learning photography and more on capturing the elk but if you're interested in learning, we'll teach some along the way! We know when and where to find the elk, we can get you (safely) close to the animals, and we'll make sure you have the right settings to capture the elk!

The Smokies are home to wild rainbow, brook and brown trout streams flowing through the hills of Appalachia. These streams are where most of us cut our teeth on fly fishing here in East Tennessee and still holds a special place in our hearts. Rock hopping and fishing big dry flies pretty much sums up fishing the Smokies with most driving through the park without ever getting out of their car. Don't be them, let us show you the wild side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The GSMNP has Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout which are all wild fish and the season is open year round to anglers. We wade fish these streams and use light fly tackle because the average fish is 7 to 10 inches long and the waters are small. We also like to wear natural colors or even camo to stay hidden from these spooky fish. Along with fishing in the wild, especially the back country, don't be surprised to get an occasional visit from some of the wildlife. Most of the places we fish have very easy access, but some don't, so please let us know what kind of trip you are looking for.
