We are excited to announce our brand new Ultimate Alaska Adventure. Join us for a closer look at our states natural beauty, this ride includes a float trip, horseback riding, and to top it all off an exciting ride through the sand dunes in an ATV. Ride horses along the beach of the Knik River, with panoramic views of the mountains, glacier, and the chance to see some of Alaska's wildlife. Arrive at a secluded lake, a hidden sanctuary for ducks, loons, and swans who take up residence in this little slice of heaven almost daily.

Weather permitting, we will journey through the our lovely backyard woods out into the snow covered sand dunes and the open expanse of the Knik River Valley. As we take in the views of our amazing snowcapped mountains and Knik Glacier, we may cross through some water of Jim Creek, or over the frozen river, stop for some pictures, and then make our way back to our ranch. Our guides and horses are experienced for deep woods and mountain high adventures"¦ as well as the most gentle and memorable children's activities and parties. When winter arrives with snow, that's when trail riding can be at its best. There is nothing more exhilarating than a ride through fresh powdery snow! We find that all ages love our horse-drawn sleigh rides through the woods and over the frozen creek"¦and end the ride with warm-up beverages (hot chocolate, etc..) in the cabin or at the fire-pit.

The beauty and grandeur of Alaska is in full view on the 3hr ride. Weather permitting, we will journey through the our lovely backyard woods out into the sand dunes and open beach alongside Knik River. We will continue closer to Knik Glacier, periodically crossing through some glacial waters, taking in the gorgeous views of our amazing mountains and surrounding scenery. To top it off before heading back, we will take a break in the middle of this vast landscape to enjoy the scenery & possible lakes, moose, and other wildlife nearby.

Arrive at Alaska horse adventures ranch. Get checked in and meet your guide. Then hop in the truck for a short drive to Jim lake where we put the kayaks in and begin our journey across the lake and into the Jim Creek slew of slow moving water. Experience a real taste of some of Alaska's most peaceful beauty with a panoramic view of the mountains while the salmon swim underneath you in plane sight, and the ducks and eagles fly overhead, and maybe even find a moose standing in the water eating weeds off of the bottom.

The 1.5 hour is a perfect way to see some of Alaska's beauty from horseback!
