GUIDED FISHING TRIPS IN MAINE
Allagash Guide Inc specializes in fishing for Brook Trout, Lake Trout, Muskie and cold water species found in Maine's lakes and rivers. Our main interest is fishing the Allagash Lakes in Northern Maine and selected rivers of Quebec and Northern New Brunswick. Most of the fishing trips are in conjunction with canoe trips, but can be adapted to any personal needs. Fly fishing to trolling can be your choice. We do practice catch and release to conserve the resource where needed. However we also enjoy cooking a clients catch over the open campfire or in our baker ovens.

Guided Deer Hunts
Our home base is in Maine's Wildlife Management District (WMD) 17 which offers some of the best deer habitat. This area of the state is a mix of farmland and large tracts of forestland that offer some of the highest deer concentrations in Maine. If you are interested in an "any deer" permit, which allows you to shoot an antlerless deer, this is the zone you must apply for. Check the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife for seasons, license fees any-deer permits and management districts. Deer hunters are required to purchase a Maine Big Game License in advance from Maine's Dept. of IF&W.

Guided Moose Hunts
Each year approximately many lucky applicants receive a permit to hunt one of North America's largest game animals, the majestic Moose. Applicants can apply online until mid-May and permits are drawn each year in June. Those drawn are assigned a WMD, season and a bull or cow tag. We guide for moose primarily in northern Maine where there are three seasons, late September, mid-October and early November. Each season is 6 days in duration, Monday through Saturday.

This trip begins at Lobster Stream on the banks of the scenic West Branch of the Penobscot River. Our first night is on Lobster Lake, possibly the most beautiful lake in Maine. Spectacular views of the majestic Mt. Katahdin and Big Spencer Mountain make this lake most memorable. Upon leaving Lobster Lake, we travel down the West Branch of the Penobscot to Chesuncook Lake and historic Village. The trip ends at Chesuncook Village, completing a 40 mile trip. Numerous wildlife sightings, beautiful scenery and easy paddling make this a great family or beginners trip. This trip can be a three or four night trip.
