The Eagle River is a great place to fish during the summer, but you have to get out early. We find that the best time to fish the river is in the morning. If you head out early enough, you can even avoid most people on the river. Morning fishing is ideal for catching lots of fish, particularly brown trout or cutthroat trout, which tend to feed more aggressively before it gets too hot.
