Formed over 75 million years, the Badlands are home to 50 species of native grasses, Bison, Big Horned Sheep, Prairie Dogs, and other wildlife. Afterwards, drive 30 minutes to Quinn, home to The Badlands Observatory. Established in 2000 by Ron Dyvig and Teresa Hofer, this observatory collaborates with NASA to track asteroids. Ron, passionate about astronomy, designed telescopes, identifying over 25 asteroids. Teresa, a photographer, collaborates with Ron, creating a stunning collection of astronomical photographs.
