Welcome to Great Northern Powder Guides – Montana’s ONLY backcountry cat skiing / snowboarding operation.

We operate 20,000+ acres in the beautiful Stillwater State Forest, a short 20 miles north of Whitefish, Montana. All of our trips are fully guided to provide guests with a safe and unforgettable backcountry experience. We run 7 days a week with the ability to carry up to 12 guests in each snowcat.
