Bobcat and Coyote can be hunted year-round. If you are one another trophy hunt and harvest your animals early you may hunt Bobcat and Coyote for free, and if you harvest on & show it to the Owner, he will give you $200 off your next hunt of any trophy animal. Of course, you keep your bobcat or coyote if you want.

Turkey hunting in Texas, here on the Lonesome Bull Ranch, is best in the spring, when there is less activity. During regular deer season they seem to not be as active. Our Turkey rest down along the lake and we have over 1 ½ miles of lake front. If you know how to call you will have no problem harvesting your birds. Our Turkey hunts are semi guide. We give you a large pasture with at least one blind in it or you can bring a pop-up blind or you can make one easily with tree branches. The big ones have only one thing on their mind in the spring, when they will be strutting. Turkeys can only be hunted with a shot gun or bow in Jim Wells County.

Dove hunting here on the Lonesome Bull Ranch in Texas has been compared to Dove hunting in Mexico. We have 2600 acres that are surrounded by farms growing sunflower, millet, corn and grain. We plant crops of our own throughout the Ranch late. We also have 18 ponds that stay full because of rain or we have well water running to most of them. A cleaning facility and restrooms are available for day hunters or we have lodging to accommodate any size hunting party (large or small).

There are many meat hunts to choose from. Some of our popular meat hunts are Axis Doe, Black Buck Doe, Cow Elk, Fallow Doe, Watusi, Bison, or a Red Deer Hind.
