ALLIGATOR HUNT
The American alligator is one of the most feared animals on the gulf coast. In Texas, we have some of the best habitats for hunting gators, and the experience to ensure a good hunt! Our hunts consist of running lines with our guide, or we can accommodate a bow hunt as well. We have a 100% kill ratio due to months of scouting put in by our team. We have access to an alligator processor who will prep your meat and prepare your hides to be sent to the tannery. We can take care of everything for you! This is one of the most adrenaline pumping hunts we offer! You'll be face-to-face with a giant lizard where you can grab the rope and feel this animal's raw power!

UPLAND BIRD HUNTS
Our upland hunts take place on our 500 acre upland preserve right across the street from the lodge. We hunt behind well trained pointers, using crew UTVs to drive you right to the birds. No walking necessary! Each hunter is allotted 12 birds, and extra birds are available for purchase. Our bird of choice is the chukar. It is by far the sportiest pen raised bird available. Chukars offer hunters exciting and challenging shots. These birds also make for a fabulous table fare.

THERMAL/NIGHT VISION HOG HUNT
Come down and join us on what is quickly becoming the most popular and exciting way to hunt hogs in Texas. Hogs are naturally a nocturnal animal, so we hunt them at night when using our night vision/thermal optic scopes mounted on our AR-15's. With the cover of darkness, we'll usually get groups within 50-100 yards of the hogs.

GOOSE HUNT
Goose hunts will take place in rice, planted rye grass, winter wheat or plowed fields. A typical hunt will include a large sillosock spread of up to 1000+ soxs or 500+/- full body decoys. Specklebellies and snow geese are the target, but some years the lesser Canada geese will show up to provide bonus birds. It is also very common to shoot a handful of ducks while goose hunting. Intense management and letting the geese get comfortable on a property is vital to holding large concentrations of birds throughout a season. It is our philosophy to ensure quality hunting and insist on customer satisfaction. Ecaller/conservation season has been very productive for us in recent seasons till mid-February for those interested in pulling the plugs and getting under big spins.

CRANE HUNT
Crane hunts will normally take place in rice, plowed ground, pasture land, winter wheat fields or anywhere we find them feeding. Nicknamed the "ribeye of the sky" they make for excellent table fare! Concealment is key for harvesting these birds as they have very good eye sight. Being resourceful to the surroundings and using any cover or elevation change in the ground is a must.

DUCK HUNT
Duck hunts will take place on flooded rice fields, flooded millet ponds, flooded moist soil management ponds, flooded fallow fields, or managed wetland projects. Our goal when we initial got into waterfowl hunting was to make a name for ourselves for running quality hunts not quantity of hunts. We hunt a variety of different ways including pit blinds, laydown blinds, Avian A-frame blinds and a few stationary blinds as well. Since we are normally hunting wintering birds, being mobile and able to set up right on the 'X' is key. Typical bags will include pintail, teal, gadwall, wigeon, shoveler and depending on the weather the occasional canvasback or mallard. In addition, public bay hunting is available for clients interested in coastal species targeting redheads and could also include blue bills and pintails. It's hard to beat large groups of redheads landing in the decoys as the sun is setting on Matagorda Bay.

BAY FISHING
Wade fishing with bait during the summer months is how we originally established a name for ourselves in the mid-late 2000's! Over the years we have continued to excel in wading with both bait and lures year around. We also have perfected our skills in drift/boat fishing since so many clients like to stay in the boat. Great boxes of fish can be caught from the boat throughout the year for those not interested in wading. Fishing with a popping cork and shrimp or bouncing soft plastics off the bottom is usually the ticket to filling the box while fishing from the boat.
