This whitewater rafting trip runs 79 miles through the heart of Hells Canyon, from Hells Canyon Dam to Heller Bar in Idaho. Each trip begins and ends in Joseph, Oregon where round-trip transportation to and from the river is included in your trip cost. Run world-class, powerful class III and IV whitewater, the likes of Granite and Wild Sheep rapids. Visit historical sites, fish for Rainbow Trout and prehistoric White Sturgeon, and let our guides take care of your every last need. This Fishing and whitewater rafting trip runs 32 miles through the heart of Hells Canyon, from Hells Canyon Dam to Pittsburg Landing in Idaho. Each trip begins in Joseph, Oregon, and ends at Pittsburg Landing, where we will have your vehicle shuttled for the end of the trip. Run world-class, powerful class III and IV whitewater, the likes of Granite and Wild Sheep rapids. Fish for Smallmouth Bass, Rainbow Trout and White Sturgeon in this world-class Bass fishery. Our guides are experienced at guiding/teaching all skill levels from beginner to advanced and are happy to accommodate both Fly Fisherman and Spin Casters. This is a perfect trip for the experienced angler and the 12 year old first time angler. There have been a many "First Fish Evers" on this trip.

Float the deepest river canyon in North America, the Snake River through Hells Canyon on our 3 day rafting adventure, which runs 32 miles through the upper section of Hells Canyon, from Hells Canyon Dam to Pittsburg Landing in Idaho. This trip begins in Joseph, Oregon. You will drive your vehicle to Hells Canyon Dam (the launch) the morning of the trip and your vehicle will be shuttled to the take-out at Pittsburg Landing, Idaho. Pittsburg Landing is located 5 hours from Joseph, where you will start your trip. Run the biggest whitewater in the Pacific Northwest, visit historical sites, fish for prehistoric White Sturgeon, and let our guides take care of your every last need. And we'd to like to mention that our gourmet menu is capstoned with locally raised and grown ingredients when available. We are happy to accommodate most dietary needs upon request. Idaho spring bear hunting always proves to be second to none! With this Idaho hunting outfitter, success on spring bear hunts are 100% shot opportunity. There is an abundant population of the color-phased black bear in our hunting area. These beautiful bears range in colors from black, chocolate, brown, red, cinnamon and blonde. Many of these bears also have white chest markings. About 70% of the bears we harvest are color-phase. Our spring bears have absolutely beautiful hides, are often thicker and rarely rubbed. These bears average 175-200 lbs in weight, but don't let their weight fool you - we have killed 200-pound bears that easily made Pope & Young. Our season opens April 15th, and closes June 15th each year. We choose to conduct bear hunts during the month of May and into June, after the bears have come out of hibernation. These are 5-day hunts, although many hunters fill their tags by the second or third day. Remember, licenses and tags are guaranteed in our area.

Ace Outfitters offers an elk and deer combination rifle hunt. While the primary focus is on elk during rifle season, elk and deer are hunted simultaneously because they use the same terrain. We recommend purchasing a deer tag; you won't want to be caught without it! In our area, 90% of the deer taken are mule deer. They are usually 4x4 or 5x5, and average about 20-24 inches wide. Most of these deer have beautiful black antlers, often with a few kickers and some trash by the eye-guards. While it is not typical to kill a 30 inch buck every year, there certainly are a few bucks of that caliber that live in the drainages we hunt. Our area provides great cover for these monsters to thrive. Remember, arriving in good physical condition will often increase your chances of going where the monster muleys like to hide.

During archery season, you will be hunting during the peak of the rut. There is nothing quite like the sound of bulls screaming in the mountains! This time of the year is addicting"¦chasing after those bulls gets in your blood and will keep you coming back for more. You will be hunting timber, old burns, and occasionally near wallows. You should plan on covering some ground, and expect to see lots of fresh elk sign. With the right weather conditions, archery elk hunting is one of the most exciting hunts you will ever experience. Ace Outfitter's guides will use their bugling and cow-calling techniques to locate the bulls, and try to convince them to move in a little closer for your shot opportunity. While the focus is on elk during archery season, there are also opportunities to hunt color-phase black bear if you have a bear tag. This is a combination elk/bear hunt, and the bears are hunted over bait. Be sure to check out our photo gallery to see pictures of the color-phase bears we have taken over the years.

Located in northeast Oregon, the Grande Ronde River has more picture perfect steelhead swinging water than almost any river in North America. In 1988, this tributary of the Snake River was designated a Wild and Scenic River by Congress. The massive basalt canyon walls that rise several thousand feet from the river are home to a wide array of wildlife including bighorn sheep, elk, deer, turkey, upland game birds, and numerous raptors. The main draw for anglers, however, is the summer-run steelhead that inhabit this river beginning in September, and in some years, running as late as December. The Grande Ronde is one of the top fly fishing steelhead rivers in the West. It has a large run of wild fish, supplemented with hatchery fish. Early October, with its warm water and air temperatures, is the perfect time for chasing steelhead with light single-hand, switch, or Spey rods.
