Welcome to Western Nebraska and Powder Morning Hunting Company, LLC (POMO). We would like to share with you a place that is truly one of a kind. East of the Rocky Mountains and West of Midwest Whitetail Country lies what we call the North Platte Valley, Wildcat Hills, and Sandhills. It is so special and unique to us that we depicted the three landmarks into our logo as a reminder of what the resources of this land provides us Nebraskans. We specialize in Mule Deer & Whitetail Deer hunts throughout the Fall seasons as well as Waterfowl & Upland bird hunts in the later months. Our hunts are all performed on large private ranches and premier river accretion ground. Our experienced professional guides are licensed in other western states and our lodging is as good as it gets. Powder Morning Hunting Company is excited to service our client’s hunting and adventure goals with a more relaxing, low impact, and enjoyable day in the field than most other western experiences.

The Snake River Connection is run by the Sasse Family, and are the owners of the Sasse-Vinton Inc. Ranch. Agnes Sasse and two of her sons, Bob and Pat with their families, live and work year round on the ranch. The ranch has been a family owned operation since 1927. Ranching and wildlife conservation has been a family priority for almost 95 years. Bob and Pat — along with their brother Ted, and nephew Aaron along with Tanner — are all excellent guides and knowledgeable hunters. All of guides grew up on and around the ranch and know the favored locations for pursuing trophy deer. We take pride in providing individual service and will be happy to accommodate your hunting needs.

This trip is nothing short of incredible! It's a wild ride on world class whitewater as it churns its way down a deep mountain canyon, just as it has done for millions of years. The river runs clear and free and is never crowded, unlike most of the rivers in Colorado, and the rapids are almost continuous for the entire length of the trip. This trip traverses the National Wild & Scenic portion of the river and is the best single stretch of raftable wildwater on the entire river.

This is a specially designed trip for youth groups that is a combination of the Wildwater and the Wild & Scenic Trips. This trip includes many more class IV rapids than does our Wildwater trip while keeping in mind that safety is paramount. This trip includes an exciting and challenging blend of rapids which is perfect for teens with their unique abilities and energy levels. Because this is a special trip, the group is usually set apart from our other groups creating a more personalized experience on the river. Our guides are especially adept at creating a fun yet challenging environment so that everyone leaves with a positive experience and great memories. The trip is very attractive for diverse groups.

This is our easiest trip and our most popular for beginners or families with young children. The rapids are predominately class II and III, so the trip will be exciting but not overbearing. The scenery is classic Colorado with lush mountain forests on the North facing slopes and ponderosa pine and brush on the slopes facing south. The canyon is deep but gets lots of warm sunshine since the river traverses the canyon generally from west to east. The river has virtually no commercial development along its course and has been designated a National Wild & Scenic River by congress. The canyon is beautiful and there are many fun rapids on this trip. Minimum age is 7 years for children.
